This Collage Brought to You by the Letter "C"

I do not remember where I read about magazine collage, but I began making collage when I was in grad school. To me collage comes from a certain serendipity brought out by the materials used. I grab a bunch of the magazines laying around my house and cut out words or images that catch my eye at that moment; then arrange these elements and maybe add a touch of paint here and there. In this collage I added photos that I printed on my ink jet printer of a tree and a brain synapse to tie the other graphics together. What works for me about this process is that you use recycled or found items, can do the art in several sittings, and then find meaning in these collages long after they are completed. Alliteration is a theme here.
